Department of Veterans’ Affair (DVA) dental scheme

Department of Veterans’Affairs (DVA) dental scheme is designed to fund and provide dental services to meet clinical needs for Gold and White Card Holders.

Dental practitioners registered with Dental Board of Australia, registered by the Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide services under Medicare Benefits Scheme are able to participate.

At Valley Gentle Dental, all our practitioners are registered to provide services under this scheme.

If you hold a current DVA gold card, you will be eligible.

If you hold a current DVA white card, dental treatment can only be provided in relation to your accepted disabilities.  To confirm treatment eligibility, our friendly receptionist will get in contact with Department of Veterans’Affairs.

At Valley Gentle Dental, we bulk bill all dental treatment for eligible Gold and White DVA card holders under DVA dental scheme.

Most basic dental procedures are covered under this scheme.

Currently some complex dental procedures are not covered under this scheme.  Some procedures may have annual monetary limits attached.
